Sunday, January 15, 2012 - 3rd bottle of this and 2 yrs. since my last. Decanted 2 hours and drank over 4. Seems to have put on a significant amount of weight over the last 2 years. The stems have integrated now and the wine shows much more earthy components than the florals from it's youth. Simple palate of plum extract that isn't over ripe, but is larger framed than others in the Rhys lineup. Low acidity and a slight herbal tannic feel that tones it down a bit. Not a bad wine and actually quite enjoyable just lacking the energy and verve I was looking for tonight. I have one mag left that I'll try to hold 10 yrs. in the name of science.
