Tuesday, November 14, 2006 - Minneapolis Does Burgundy and N. Rhone (DRC, Leroy, Mugnier, Dujac, Chave, Chapelle, Chapoutier, Clape): The nose offers a subdued and primary blend of red fruit, tobacco, and smoke. On the palate this is big and concentrated giving mostly sweet dark fruit and oak that by mid-palate transforms into more of a carmel taste profile. The oak obscures both the fruit and the structure at this point in time, but should integrate nicely in time. Tasty stuff. This is nice now, but should really improve considerably with additional time in the bottle.
