Thursday, February 2, 2012 - Inky with violet highlights at the rim. With coaxing, aromas of boysenberry, sugarplum, violet pastilles and slate. Muscular, dense palate picks up cracked pepper, more minerals, dusty red and black berry fruit. Firm, puckering, long finish. Nice wine that will absolutely benefit from more time in the cellar. Made by Giacomo Tachis, of Sassicaia fame.
