Yes, we should have saved it for an occaision, but instead we cellared the 2005 and popped this open. Super wow. Within 20 minutes lots of black cherry, herbs, licorice scents. Dark and deep. Agree the tannins are velvet. Flavors of dark fruit, a little leather, layers of flavor. Incredibly smooth with a long smooth finish. Really wonderful, and wish we had more.
