Saturday, February 4, 2012 - Very expressive of classic St. Emilion Bordeaux. Just enough terroir to make it interesting with vanilla, oak, mocha, cocoa powder over truffles. Big and bold on the glass with medium to dark purple to a slight brick rim. Tears were magnificent which translated into a subtle satiny full mouth feel with cherries, black fruit, bright acidity, tartness on the rear of the palate with a smooth finish on drying tannins. Excellent, drink now or hold.
