Saturday, February 18, 2012 - Another Saturday at Knightsbridge - mostly blind (Northbrook, IL): I brought this to our double blind tasting to follow up on the 6 vintages of Meo-Camuzet V-R Brulees at dinner the night before. Decanted just over an hour before serving. Fresh black fruit aromas with background Asian spice to start. A bit more lean fruit to start on the palate, but this picked up power toward the middle and finish. Spice also intensified toward the end and picked up complexity with more air and time in glass. Great acids and fine tannins that are nicely harmonious. Still a baby, perhaps just entering its peak drinking window.
