Thursday, November 23, 2006 - On pop, funky nose with a faint hint of citrus. As the wine aerates, the nose shows more smokiness, pepper and some remaining funk. The flavors are all about sour cherry, berry, citrus acidity and some minerality on the finish, which tightens a bit. Would suggest another year or so on this wine. As for any heat from the 2004 vintage, on this bottle, I did not find any. This wine showed pretty well.
