Saturday, February 25, 2012 - La Paulee Gala (San Francisco CA): Ripe red and black cherry work well with earthy aromas, but these were all behind great sweet baking spice. Flavors balanced the earthy and fruit components well, nicely supported by good acids and tannins that gave a firming character. Far superior to the 1985 La Tache tasted shortly after.
