Saturday, March 24, 2012 - Clear, pale lemon-green. Nose of wax, dry flowers and ripe pear. The palate is more tropical, medium-full-bodied and slightly botrytized, with peach and overripe apple flavors. The finish is dense and tart, probably including some muted residual sugar. Overall a dry-styled Savennieres, powerful but not overwhelming. Enjoyed variously with oriental chicken thighs and split pea soup.
