Monday, April 9, 2012 - This bottle developed a leak in shipping. Otherwise would not have opened. Dark purple color. Nose opens spicy cherries and currents. Wonderful for such a young wine. Flavors include spicy cherries and strawberry. Finishes a little hot but not unpleasantly so. Very well structured with layers of fruit that should easily outlast the silky tannins. Best California Pinot Noir I have had since tasting the single vineyard Calera's years ago. Highly recommended. No doubt our score will be higher next time. Will be serving with Wild Salmon rolled with Feta and Spinach. 2 hours later-fruits flavors become more pronounced.
