Monday, April 9, 2012 - Pop and pour at 65 deg F. Not quite a 90-pointer but held-up well 3+ days in the fridge and kept my interest. Somewhat complex and a bit muscular, earthy, and almost waxy textured white with nice balance and interest. Drink now but might be able to age a few years. Lemon citrus and fermented pear with hint of christmas spice nose; fermented pear, citrus, and hints-of-honey waxy-creamy slightly acidic and hint of bitterness palate; short finish of same elements with hints of bitter nuts. 13.5% abv. Body medium plus, acid medium. 46% Marsanne, 20% Grenache Blanc, 12% Roussanne, 10% Picpoul, 7% Viognier, 5% Terret. Good QPR at USD 13.
