Wednesday, May 2, 2012 - I was a bit tenuous, especially after the nose gave me "over the hill". It was surprisingly good, considering the community said that the end of its drinking window was 4 years ago, and also considering that we didn't cellar it in anywhere near optimal conditions. Ripe fruit, plenty of spice, balanced tannins. Short to medium finish. It was a cheap bottle, not stored well, but held up surprisingly well!
