Saturday, May 12, 2012 - HDH auction tasting at Tru; 5/11/2012-5/12/2012 (Chicago, IL): Slight tinge of purple still. Rich nose with typical characteristics of graphite, and some blackberry notes as well. On the palate, this is a classical Pauillac, with pretty good balance all around though there is a bit of emphasis on sweet red berries. Smooth tannins, but this is still quite a beast and will require a little bit more time to tame it.
