Sunday, May 13, 2012 - From an excellent looking bottle with a bottom neck fill, this wine looked strong with a deep red/purple center and some oranging on the rim.
The medium+ intensity nose showed blackberry, plum, sage, and soil but was a bit unbalanced by a dollop of American oak.
In the mouth, this wine was ripe and round with a nice supple texture. It also had great length and complexity. While this wine seems to be in the early stages of its drinking window, I am not sure if the oakiness in the nose will be absorbed or not.
