Tuesday, May 22, 2012 - Dark ruby. Nose of florals, raspberry, mulberry, iodine, earth, anise. Powerful and earthy layers of blackberry, smoky plum, brambly flavors on the palate. Acidity is low-to-moderate, tannins quite structured. Although not syrupy like the last time, it still seems a bit ponderous. I may be missing the point here.
