Saturday, June 2, 2012 - Dark garnet color in the glass. A nose of fruit, very mild oak, terroir. This wine is wonderful. All that is beautiful about St. Julien. Relaxed tannins invited you to a palate of bramble berry, mild cherry, tobacco and just enough earth to remind you of its heritage. The fruit is still youthful in presentation and very much in balance. This wine is drinking beautifully now. Wonderful long finish that is balanced and mindful. Only bad thing about this wine is that it was served at a friend's, and I have none in my cellar.
