Tuesday, June 5, 2012 - Decided to break the case! It is old, but has held up well. Surprised by the fruit still in this wine. On the nose: nice clean fruit of cherry, raspberry, and minerality. Very clean. On the palate: fruit came through especially with a little time. Tasted some nice tart cherries and strawberries, a little barnyard..just a hint, still some backbone and nice medium body. It is definitely time to drink this, fruit will only diminish from now on, it was probably at its peak two years ago. Nevertheless, a classic French Bordeaux that withstood the test of time. Probably was a beast in its day!
