Tuesday, June 5, 2012 - Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé Dinner with Jean-Luc Pepin (Les Nomades - Chicago IL): Recent Domaine library release. Open several hours before tasting. Fresh, vibrant and concentrated black fruit. Similar fruit on palate, with modest spice hints. firm and highly structured. Much like another bottle from the same library release tried a few weeks back, I never would have imagined this as old as 1993. Somehow a 1/3 full bottle came home with me from the dinner, and was finished the following evening, where it came across as slightly less fresh, still very firm but longer and more elegant.
