Thursday, June 14, 2012 - Alex's Beaune Offline at Medlar (The Medlar, London): Again, mid to full garnet. Fragrant and quite a fresh nose. A touch of gherkin/pickle too, alongside a meaty element. Some mushroom and raspberry too. Quite rounded and smooth attack but again lacks a bit of persistence and complexity through the middle and finish, but more harmonious than the Chanson. Spicy full nose with more raspberry coming through. ***1/2
