Friday, September 15, 2006 - Young California Syrah (Chez Shaffer - Highland Park IL): Tasted blind. Red and black fruit aromas with a nice floral touch. Good fruit, overall good balance. Held up to its 14.7% to start, but faded slightly after a couple of hours compared to other Syrahs tasted tonight.
