Monday, January 1, 2007 - Nice deep ruby color with slimmest clear rim; nose of tobacco, plums, minerality and hint of smoke; soft texture on entry but some astringency of tannin takes hold with large load of dark fruits weighing heavily throughout. Long, lingering fruit finish. Seeems "only half way there" in development. Quintessential red bordeaux, speaks well of this as best vintage between '82 and 2000.
