Thursday, March 15, 2012 - Golden yellow, not unlike Sauternes. Nose is full of ripe peaches, apricots, full round fruit flavors with a hint of oaky, vanilla sweetness. The palate achieves a good balance, with the Bordelaise terroir balancing the very full flavor profile. Modest acidity. A unique and pleasant wine. Pairs surprisingly well with caviar, where it accentuates the austere briny flavors.
