85 Points

Friday, August 17, 2012 - Another deep, full flavored, Aussie value priced Shiraz blend that tastes a bit manipulated, but basically delivers. Pretty close to full bodied. Deep dark color. By no means a fruit bomb. Actually a little short in the fruit department. Mushrooms, alcohol, blackberry on the nose. The fruit is overpowered by an artificial acidity, but still has some merit. Plenty of acid. Moderate tannins. Some slight green pepper influence. Not much influence from oak. Swirling, and some time in the glass bring things to life. The finish is too much acid from 50# bags. But. we finished the bottle.
