Friday, August 24, 2012 - this was a big red, very fruit forward. nice nose of red and black fruit, leather, and coffee beans. on the palate black fruit, cranberries, coffee on the mid-palate, with some mushroom on the finish. not overly complex, and the fruit can be a bit overpowering. for $30 this is overpriced, unless you love this style, but without considering the price, this is an OK wine, and some people will love the big fruit.
