Tuesday, September 4, 2012 - Yowza. This rocked. Needed every bit of a few hours of decanting even vinturri. Then great nose of blood, minerals, stone, rusty iron, deep dark musty black fruit without plum or any sense of stewed/ port characteristics. Palate showed similar flavors with a nice soft mellifluous textures. Tannins were mild. This racehorse is struttin right now and will be for the next several years. Alcohol in check. Welcome to the prime drinking window!
