Thursday, October 18, 2012 - Opened and poured, this wine began with assertive aromatics of various spice elements with subtle underlying red cherry notes. Airing relegates the spice notes to the background and brings darker fruits notes forward. The color is a medium dark, youthful ruby. The medium bodied palate shows balance, definition and youthful nuance. The wine does begin to close down after being open for about an hour. Based on this bottle, the wine will benefit from a couple of years of additional bottle age.
