Thursday, October 25, 2012 - Very excited to try this as Comte is one one of my fav btls of Champagne and, I own a couple 02s. Did not disapoint. This was more focused and brighter than the Bolli Grand Anne with layers of minerality and fruit in spades. Loved it! This should be on every wine lover's bucket list!

12/6/2012 3:16:00 AM - Quick question, do you think the 02 Comte de Champagne will go well with Turkey dinner or is it still to young? Just got it and wondering whether to open it for the Christmas Turkey or not. Thanks for helping out!

12/6/2012 6:23:00 AM - Interesting question. I drink Champagne almost exclusively on its own so I'm the wrong guy to ask. Everyone says its one of the best food wines but I rarely pair it with a full meal. Usually, I'm having it with sushi, crab cakes, frites, cheese or on its own. That said, I'm always worried that I won't have the opportunity to give a wine like the Comte the attention it deserves during Christmas so, I'd be more likely serve a $15 - $30 bubbly in that situation, if it was me. Hope you enjoy the wine.
