Tuesday, November 6, 2012 - Understand the crowd love, cannot understand the scores. While barely identifiable as pinot noir, this is very rich with slick and glossy cherry fruit and vanilla, and even at 14.3, still a bit hot. It denies any sense of place, and invests only in a model of manufactured profile that says more about economic agenda than it does wine. For the record, my wife loves it. For me, obvious spoof-a-licious.
