Wednesday, December 12, 2012 - Few Bordeaux with Christian: Sweeter nose compared to SHL and much more tamed, cherry. But what a palate... Impeccable balance, pure velvet, not a blockbuster, will not take heavy food. Wall of tannins is a wrong description, but there is certainly a wave of velvet meeting at the mid-palate and it is a delight. Cassis. At first the wine seemed short compared to the two others, but extended time in glass brought length. The tannins are made of silk, ripe and dense. Will be nice to see how this develops. Much more developed than the Smith Haut Lafitte.
