Thursday, December 20, 2012 - We have opened 2 of these in the past week and there is some bottle variability noted. First paired with Indian food, held up well with the spiciness of the fare, served closer to room temperature, the honey, stone fruit and the glycerineness of this style showed nicely, good complexity.
More recently opened at our end of the world offline wine dinner with fellow geeks, served too cold and needed time in glass to warm up and allow to blossom, seemed a bit tighter on nose and palate, muted with more crispness and more acidity, still typical fruit and profile of a white rhone. Still a great qpr and I am glad a bought a few. Fun to see if they gain any depth in the short term.
