Saturday, January 5, 2013 - Served double blind, opened on the morning prior to the dinner, re-corked, then aerated 4 hours prior to service. First impression, purity, elegance, class, certainly a noble wine. Each of us had a half of a glass with our braised lamb shanks, and then it was on to the other blind (and non-blind) wines. And while it showed very, very well with the lamb, it wasn't until after the dinner, that the balance of the decanter was poured. I wasn't prepared or expecting what this had become during that 2 hour rest. The wine went to another level, and sat firmly in the epic category. Again, I look at the price-tag, and all I can say to myself is there are so many wines that cost so much less that are more expensive, at under $200, this is a bargain, and $200 for a bottle of grape juice is a lot of money to me. very highly recommended. You MUST give this the aeration it needs if opening anytime soon or you will miss the Grand Fireworks show. Drink thru 2025
