Saturday, March 16, 2013 - Opened by Mark. Considered the first grower/producer in 1919. This estate owns 23 hectares of premier and grand cru vineyards in the villages of Ay, Dizy, Hautvillers and Mareuil-sur-Ay. Their vineyards are planted with 20% Pinot Noir, 40% Pinot Meunier and 40% Chardonnay. However, this wine is made up of 60% Chardonnay from Dizy and 40% Pinot Noir from Hautvillers and Aÿ. 14 cases of this wine were imported into the US. Pale yellow with a strong bead. Notes of lemon zest and brioche. Cliquey wines have been described as chiseled and this was no exception. Clean finish. Still young and could use more aging. 92+ points
