Sunday, January 20, 2013 - Excellent bottle in perfect condition. Fill into base of neck. Deep garnet, with brick red at the rim. Nose initially hinted at bret, with red berries but after decanting and an hour and a half it opened out. Cedar wood, with a hint of tar. On the palate full and long, good acidity still even though over 30 years old. Long finish. A superb bottle with another few years of life left. Not as good as the '74 but better than the 87 which we had a few months ago.
