Wednesday, January 23, 2013 - This should have been drunk 3 or 4 years earlier. Still there are intense aromas of black pepper, black currant and tar on the nose. On the palate, the wine seems livelier on day one with a pointy acidity, but a hollow mid-palate (almost no fruit left) and dried-out and somewhat saggy tannins. On day two, the acidity appears to be even spikier and the remaining elements of the wine seem to be on the ropes. Too bad i left it in the cellar for too long!
