Friday, February 22, 2013 - Intense nose of saddle-soap and ripe cherry. The attack of this wine is surprisingly reminiscent of a To Kalon Cab Sauv, with chocolate predominating over the fruits. While it is medium-bodied, it is on the heavier side of the scale. It packs a wallop. It is a bit flabby and soft, I'd like a little more tannic structure. Though I drank it on its own, I think this would really shine with its classic counterpart: cedar-plank salmon.
