Friday, October 5, 2012 - Pungent black fruit tinged with spice - classic syrah nose. Not overly complex but very balanced and wonderfully textured - blackberry, bit of currants, mineral - round, lightly grainy but firmly present tannins and fresh acidity. Moderate finish. A wine that is of a piece. A few more years would even out the tannins a bit, but the fruit would lose some of its character.
