Saturday, March 2, 2013 - Vosne Romanee and Flagey-Echezeaux (Beltramo's, Menlo Park): Medium red. Attractive scents of char and some perfume. The oak is not subtle here either but neither is it overwhelming. Strong red and black fruit. This is sappy and meaty at the cost of losing some detail. That said, it is quite tasty and approachable, with some charred meat reappearing on the finish. Another wine with early appeal.
