Friday, March 8, 2013 - This has gotten better since the last tasting. Dark purple, opaque in the glass with good legs. Nose is filled with ripe black fruits, sugar coated cherry, violets, truffle and spice. Touches on the palate is smooth and rich, notes of currents, jam, expresso bean and cigar wrapper, surprisingly tannins seem to be in great balance with no hard edges at all. Nice structure, and grest finish with plum juice and light tobacco leaf.
