Thursday, March 31, 2005 - This was a Jekyll and Hyde wine: Initially it seemed a bit too old, a touch maderized. However, after an hour it really opened up.
Nose: Very floral with notes of dried fruit - apple, banana, and pear, and a touch of nutmeg.
Palate: Reminds me of an old champagne made from pinot meunier – think ’69 Collard. Interestingly, it also reminds if of viognier.
