Saturday, March 23, 2013 - Perfect time to open this. Has been cellared since release (aprox 3 years). Nose: Big, sweet red fruits with blackberry, earth, minerals and tree bark. Assorted spices are also present. Just a great nose! Palate: Bright red fruits along with cassis, raspberry jam and a long finish. This has aged wonderfully and is perfect right now. A phenomenal Zin that is balanced and multi-faceted. Best Carlisle Zin I've ever had! Kudos to the Officer/Maddox team! 93+ points.
