Tuesday, April 2, 2013 - First I should admit that I'm not a big fan of Burgundian wines...way too subtle for my palate but I thoroughly enjoy this beautiful wine. Nose was earthy with mild spices. It was rather sharp when I opened the bottle so decanted for over an hour before pouring. This just evolved to a more delicious wine with every sip and by the end of the evening it was singing. Palate was smooth and then smoother, elegant and soft. Hard for me to pull out specific flavors...soft fruit, subtle spices. It was simply lovely, different from other Sojourns, which are among my very favorite pinot noirs. Definitely a new experience for me and I look forward to the next bottle.

4/2/2013 4:36:00 PM - The tone of your note aligns perfectly with my feelings on Sojourn. So reliably delicious but each vineyard shows a different style. Popped a 2010 Gap's Crown tonight and it was outstanding as well. But Ridgetop is a favorite too. Cheers.
