Wednesday, April 10, 2013 - Drank at Ned WWS tasting, and was 1 of the faves of the nite. Inky dark color, no signs of age on the pour. Nose of ripe black fruits, eucalyptus, some wood and spice. On the palate, gobs of black fruit, black currant, some oak but not interfering with the wine's fine structure or balance at all. Good complexity. Spicy with a lot of eucalyptus, and a certain earthiness. I was very surprised at how well this wine has aged, and really enjoyed it. It still has at least a few years to go, though drinking wonderfully now
