Saturday, April 6, 2013 - Hardly showing any signs of age at this point. Really no signs of bricking at the rim, and the fruit is still very primary. Although the tannins softened some, there's still plenty of them on the long complex finish. I prefer the To Kalon bottling currently as it's more advanced and has more olive, herbs and loam characteristics.

After having four bottles in recent years I have to say that this is my favorite vintage of Mondavi reserve In the last decade. Drinks great right now with at least 2 to 4 hours in the decanter. It should be better in 5 to 10 years when the tannins resolve and It develops more secondary nuances.
