Wednesday, May 1, 2013 - Fantastic wine! My first experience with Shafer merlot and I was very impressed. Deep, big, rich dark fruit with a powerful background of something, maybe oak? Complex, intriguing, a huge mouthful of a wine. I really enjoyed it.
