Sunday, May 26, 2013 - Dark garnet color with a chocolaty nose of berries and bramble. The palate is full-bodied, brightly acidic, and rigidly structured with highly concentrated flavors of dark cherry, plum, espresso, and dark chocolate, toasted vanilla and oak. There's a little jammy character on the long, persistent, high-pitched finish with hints of dried herbs and Oakville earth. Quite an amazing drink, but certainly expensive. I rated the 2005 Ramey Jericho Canyon 95 Pts, which costs half the price of the Pedregal Vineyard. Still, this is different and somehow yummier! Perhaps a 1-hr decant just won't do it. Drink from 2018 to 2030.
