Wednesday, May 29, 2013 - Best bottle yet from the case I bought long ago. Guess I drank most of it too young! Lovely spicy and earth nose, but no funk. Color is fairly light and brick red. Still has ample acidity but it has softened a lot. Good length. Nice mature fruit. So many of the 96 burgundies have such hard edges, as this wine did, but it appears they are finally softening. And it ONLY took 17 years! An excellent food wine!
