Sunday, June 9, 2013 - Mostly Rieslings: Golden apple colored. Aromas of oil, marmalade, minerals and peanut brittle. Dry with bracing minerals on the palate. The acid is a little lower than other bottles I've had, but it's still there. Lots of apricot, mango and peach, backed up by earthy, spicy, tobacco notes. Seriously, I get flavors of chewing tobacco and mushroom, especially on the finish. Very unique and funky, but perhaps time to drink up.

2/20/2014 7:01:00 PM - Yqem, thanks for the comment. You know, I wonder now about my "perhaps time to drink up" comment... I like old Pichlers and their earthy-craziness. I'd like to try this wine again to see how it's doing, but apparently I'm out! Damn!
