Saturday, April 16, 2005 - With little experience in tasting Brunello, this went very nicely with Penne Norma (egglant/tomato), veal ragu and other italie dishes. I wasn't blow away, and had expected a more oaky, acidic wine (from reading about Brunello). Instead, I got a lightly acidic and very fruity, well balanced wine. Really opened up with about 30 minutes of decanting. I don't get the sense that this one is going to improve much. On balance, a good one, but a bit disappointing given the hype for 97 Brunello.
