Saturday, July 27, 2013 - Opened 90 minutes before and decanted immediately before serving. On the nose, extremely strong raspberry jam. Slight hints of strawberry and dried flowers. Surprisingly little sense of alcohol given the 14.5% reading on the bottle. Color is extremely dark, all the way to the rim of the glass. On the palate, slight vanilla tones but mostly dominated by bright red fruit. Not as heavy as expected given the color. Drinking extremely well now, and probably for the next 2-3 years. RECOMMENDED.
