Monday, August 12, 2013 - Medium ruby. Much cooler and greener than the '98. Less weight but no evidence of dilution either. Earthy, middle weight, even a bit of chocolate and quite supple and savory. Good length, little tannin to speak of. This surprised me given the reputation of the vintage and my one prior experience with it. For short to intermediate term drinking (i.e., now to 5 years).
